Vineet Nayyar
Chairman
Vineet Nayyar is the Chairman of Mahindra Satyam. An accomplished leader, Vineet has led several organizations across industries creating high performing teams and successful businesses. He has a rich and varied experience having worked with the Government, international multilateral agencies and the corporate sector both public and private in a career that spans over 40 years.
Vineet holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts and started his career with the Indian Administrative Service. While in the Government, he held series of senior positions, including that of a District Magistrate, Secretary Agriculture & Rural development for the Government of Haryana and Director, Department Of Economic Affairs, Government of India. Mr. Nayyar worked with the World Bank for over 10 years in a series of senior assignments, including successively being the Chief for the Energy, Infrastructure and the Finance Divisions for East Asia and Pacific.
In the Corporate sector, Mr. Nayyar was the founding Chairman &Managing Director of the state owned Gas Authority of India. And in the Private Sector, he served as the Manging Director of HCL Corporation and as the Vice Chairman of HCL Technologies. He was also the founder &CEO of HCL Perot Systems.
In addition to his current responsibilities as the Chairman of Mahindra Satyam and Vice-Chairman of Tech Mahindra, he serves as a Director on the Boards of Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Great Eastern Shipping, Business Standard and Kotak Life Insurance. |

C P Gurnani
Chief Executive Officer
Gurnani (CP to his colleagues) is the CEO of Mahindra Satyam. Prior to moving to Mahindra Satyam, CP headed Tech Mahindra’s Global Operations, Sales and Marketing functions, and led the development of Tech Mahindra’s Competency &Solution units. CP’s inimitable style of leadership combined with his sharp focus on customer experience has helped Tech Mahindra to emerge as one of the leading providers of IT Services and Telecom Solutions to the global telecom ecosystem.
CP has extensive experience in building international business, start-ups, turnarounds, joint ventures and mergers &acquisitions. In a career spanning over 28 years, he has held several leading positions with HCL Hewlett Packard Limited, Perot Systems (India) Limited and HCL Corporation Ltd. Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, CP was the Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of Perot Systems (India) Limited, initially set up as HCL Perot Systems. At HCL Perot Systems, CP orchestrated the HCL Corporation and Perot Systems joint venture from its inception to making it one of India’s top IT services companies.
CP received a chemical engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He serves on the boards of CanvasM, Tech Mahindra (Thailand) Limited, Tech Mahindra (Beijing) IT Services Limited, Mahindra Logisoft and Tennenbaum Institute in Georgia Institute of Technology among others.
CP takes keen interest in community work and was nominated by Ernst &Young for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007. |

A. S. Murty
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
A.S. Murty (also known as ASM), in his current role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), is responsible for technology competency and innovation, as well as the creation of technology assets and IP, especially for Enterprise Business Services and new technology areas.
He also leads specialized services such as engineering, and Infrastructure Management Services (IMS), which will be managed with independent P&L responsibilities and Mahindra Satyam Learning World, which provides technical education and training to associates. The CIO’s organization (Networks & Systems) also reports to him.
ASM joined Satyam in 1994 and has a deep understanding of the organization and of the IT industry, and he brings proven expertise in overseeing global delivery, nurturing customer relationships, leading a business unit, and spearheading the strategic use of human resources for competitive advantage.
During February to June 2009 as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Satyam, ASM led the company through turbulent times with great efficiency and tremendous commitment.
During the last 15 years, ASM has played several other key roles in the company, such as the Head of Global Delivery, Head of the Leadership Development, Head of Human Resources, and Head of the insurance vertical, among others.
An electrical engineer from National Institute of Technology (Warangal), ASM joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) after completing his masters' degree in School of Automation from the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) in 1981.
ASM is recognized for cultivating a culture of over-achievement at Satyam, enabling “ordinary people to do extraordinary things” via formal mentoring programs, comprehensive attitude and skills development, continuous learning, and a process-centric approach to things.
A keen lover of sports, ASM is a Mahindra Satyam champion in chess and is an avid cricket fan. |

Vasant Krishnan
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Krishnan (Vasant to his colleagues) is the Chief Financial Officer of Mahindra Satyam.
In a career spanning over 25 years, he has held various positions in the Mahindra Group and was the CFO of the Infrastructure Development Sector comprising multiple businesses including real estate, integrated townships and SEZs, holidays and time share.
Prior to joining Mahindra Satyam, he was the Chief Operating Officer of South Asian Real Estate, a private equity fund and the Chief Financial Officer of the Adani Group (Realty) where he handled the finance, accounts, legal and secretarial functions and played a key role in charting strategic initiatives for the realty business.
Vasant is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries and also holds a Diploma in Business Finance from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.

Vijayanand Vadrevu
Senior Vice President - Strategic Initiatives
Vijay drives Strategy and Strategic Initiatives function. In this role, Vijay helps defining the direction and helps measure the performance of the organization. He also drives Strategic initiatives focused on growth and differentiation of the organization.
Vijay has a vast experience in IT services industry with over 20 years across US and India. Vijay has rich experience across sales, practice building, pre-sales, global delivery and customer advocacy functions across different verticals.
Vijay holds master's degree in Computer Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and works with many industry leaders in driving global services adoption.

Hari Thalapalli
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief People Officer (CPO)
Hari Thalapalli serves as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief People Officer (CPO) of Mahindra Satyam. He has over two decades of experience in the IT industry and has been with Mahindra Satyam for the past 11 years - playing vital roles in the organization’s growth and during its turbulent phase in the recent past.
In his role as CMO, Mr. Thalapalli’s understanding of consumer behavior helped drive service innovation and brand enhancement programs for the organization.
As the CPO, Mr. Thalapalli frequently raised the performance bar to help the organization scale new heights while leveraging human capital. Mahindra Satyam has been repeatedly acknowledged for its innovative and path-breaking HR practices in many national and international forums (Hewitt and Mercer’s “Best Employer” recognitions and ASTD and Training &Development’s Global Ranking among them).
Prior to Mahindra Satyam, Mr. Thalapalli had worked in a couple of India based IT firms - both of which were in a fledgling stage at the time of his joining. He played a key role in defining and establishing HR policies and frameworks.
Active in various professional forums, he has also been on the governing body of multiple educational institutions. He received the HT Power Jobs award for “HR Excellence” in 2004 and was featured in Human Capital Asia as one of the top 40 HR professionals in Asia. In 2007, he was named as the “HR Professional of the Year” by the Asia Pacific HRM Congress.
Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Mr. Thalapalli enjoys adventure sports and traveling and keenly involves himself in mentoring, budding professionals. |

Rakesh Soni
Chief Operating Officer
Rakesh Soni is the COO of Mahindra Satyam.
Before joining Mahindra Satyam, Rakesh was with Tech Mahindra as a COO, responsible for leading the operations and delivery teams of software, technical support, administration, infrastructure and quality. Apart from a keen financial acumen and bottom-line focus, Rakesh is known for spearheading several challenging projects within strict timelines and budgets.
Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, Rakesh was the EVP - Perot Systems TSI, creating and managing diverse high performance teams including resource management, quality, service delivery, human resources and finance.
In a career spanning over three decades, Rakesh has held leadership positions across high-performance multi-cultural organizations such as Abu Dhabi Computer Centre, Tata Consultancy Services, and Engineers India Ltd.

Manish Mehta
Chief Solutions Officer – Verticals
Global Head, Consulting and Enterprise Solutions
With an experience spanning almost 30 years in the IT industry, Manish brings a rich blend of diverse strengths encompassing Delivery, Operations, Solutions, Competency, Relationship Management, Sales and a strong people orientation.
In his current role of Chief Solutions Officer – Verticals, Manish is responsible for building Domain-led Solutions and IP for specific industry verticals at Mahindra Satyam. He also leads the Consulting and Enterprise Solutions (CES) at Mahindra Satyam, building capabilities and competencies across a host of technologies and functional areas that are outside the ERP domain.
Manish joined the company in 1997 and during his 13-year association with the company, had provided global leadership as the Business Unit Head to multiple verticals and horizontals, namely : Manufacturing, Automotive, SAP, Testing, ADMS, Engineering Services etc.
For a brief period between July 2010 and June 2011, Manish worked with Patni as Chief Delivery Officer – Application Services and rejoined Mahindra Satyam July 2011. Just prior to joining Patni, he was the Chief Delivery Officer for Europe, MEA, APAC and India at Mahindra Satyam.
Manish had worked with TCS for almost 15 years, prior to joining the erstwhile ‘Satyam’ in 1997.
Over the years, Manish has established a track record for building successful businesses, taking them from humble beginnings to transforming them as strong contenders. Be it thought leadership, differentiated offerings, ability to scale up or finding the right team to manage, Manish is known for his exceptional business and technological acumen that leaves his mark in whatever he does.
