Mahindra Satyam reinforces its business commitment towards Latin America
- Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda, its subsidiary in Sao Paulo, Brazil wins two multi-million dollar contracts
Hyderabad, India – 5 February, 2010 – Mahindra Satyam, the brand identity of Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE:SAY), a leading global consulting and IT services provider, today announced the wins of 2 multimillion dollar contracts to be executed by it’s subsidiary, Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Through this subsidiary, Mahindra Satyam plans to increase its business footprint in the Latin American market and open opportunities for alliances in the local business arena. Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda has also appointed Alberto Rosati as the country head for this operation.
Mahindra Satyam has won two multi- million dollar contracts; one from a global conglomerate and the other from a leading player in the logistics sector for their Latin American operations, which will be serviced by Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda. Mahindra Satyam will deploy technology in the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) space which will power the supply chain operation of these two organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Malhotra, Senior Vice President, Mahindra Satyam said, “Our goal is to be the top player in the Latin American market leveraging Mahindra Satyam’s existing global delivery model. The Latin American market is growing rapidly and we see immense growth opportunity in the region.’
In keeping with the market dynamics, Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda will be increasing its headcount to over 100 associates over the span of the next six months.
