Satyam is the first Asian company to feature in the List of Top 125 Training
Organizations |
- Training Magazine ranks the organization 15th for its exemplary
learning and training practices
Hyderabad, India, March 15, 2007: Satyam Computer Services, Ltd. (NYSE:
SAY), the leading global consulting and information technology services company,
announced today that it has earned 15th place on Training Magazine’s
List either list should be lower case or world’s should be upper of the
world’s Top 125 Organizations for outstanding training and learning programs
subtitle has learning before training—be consistent. It is not only the
first time Satyam has made the list, it is the first time any Asian company
has been so honored. Again, make sure this is correct.
“It is quite an achievement to be the first Asian organization to
crack this prestigious, seven-year-old list, and we have done so compellingly,” said Ed Cohen, the senior vice president of the Satyam School of Leadership. “By
breaking in at No. 15, we show that we have come a long way in a short time,
and are now among the best of the best.” Cohen is no stranger to the
Training ranking, having led his previous company, Booz Allen Hamilton, to
the number one ranking just prior to joining Satyam.
The magazine noted Satyam’s ability to blend e-learning and instructor-led
coursework effectively. It also mentioned the company’s iterative approach
to training, whereby associates gain basic skills as entry level employees,
and then develop consistently, throughout their careers.
“Our focus on continuous learning, delivered flexibly and with
innovation, is helping associates all over the world provide exceptional
client value,” Cohen said. “At
the same time, they develop their careers and become greater assets to the
enterprise replace with company or Satyam. If Satyam, begin next
sentence with We. Clearly, Satyam is a committed learning organization, and
we are proud that Training Magazine also recognizes that commitment.”
According to Training Magazine, “Satyam’s approach is to develop
basic, written, and verbal communication skills at entry level, and progressively
provide additional skills to enable associates to make business presentations
and proposals. Programs help associates communicate effectively in their current
role and prepare for the challenges of future roles. Instruction is delivered
through a blend of e-learning, and instructor-led and peer learning modules.
Each module has an evaluation process built into it to make sure they’ve
really learned.”
