| Ratnagiri-Mahindra Satyam Colony ready for handing over to flood affected victims at Chinnambavi Village

| The Mahindra Satyam Foundation adopted Chinnambavi village to build Government designed model houses in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation. Following the devastating floods in October 2009 and displacement of 56 families from Ayyavavipally, Mahindra Satyam Foundation provided permanent resettlement at Chinnambavi village. This-long term rehabilitation program undertaken by the Foundation also provided facilities such as solar-powered street lighting, a reverse osmosis drinking water supply plant in addition to the 56 permanent houses at the ‘Ratnagiri Mahindra Satyam Colony’. The provision for clean drinking water and solar lighting is unique to this project. The houses will be handed over to the beneficiaries on December 30, 2010.
