| Diwali Celebrations

| Mahindra Satyam organized Diwali celebrations at Infocity - Hyderabad location on November 03, 2010. The celebrations were different as 50 differently abled children from 5 Institutes /Schools were made special guests. 10 children each from Manchikalalu - an orphanage for boys, Gurusankalpam- home for children with mild mental retardation, Andhra Mahila Sabha school for the hearing impaired, Vegesna Foundation School for orthopedically challenged and ‘Spoorthy’ - an orphanage for girls took part in the celebrations. Sadhana Institute for the Mentally Challenged set up a stall for diyas. Two busloads of children along with their teachers/caretakers reached the venue which was all decorated and ready for the celebrations. After a round of refreshments, the celebrations were kicked off by Mr. C P Gurnani, CEO Mahindra Satyam, Mr. Rakesh Soni and Mr Vijay Rangineni. Mr. Gurnani felicitated all the organizations for participating in the celebrations. For the next 45 minutes, the children enthralled the audience with their enthralling performances ranging from classical to bhangra to skits. That the special children made the evening extra special was a common thought among everyone present. The children were later treated to a spectacular display of fireworks, a sumptuous dinner and returned with goodies bags filled with treats. |
