| Lighting up lives @ Sadhana Institute for the Mentally Challenged |
|
| 30 October 2010 dawned like any other day for the inmates of Sadhana Institute for the mentally challenged. But for the 26 members from the Russels & Coles Teams - Mahindra Satyam, led by Suresh Samudrala, Maheshkumar Revelli, Srinivas Krishnarao, Satyanaryana Manchi, Tirumala Mrutyunjaya, Ravikanth A, Pavan Vukkisila, Prasad Oruganti, Satyanaryana Kondeti and other team members/ family members, it was an unforgettable day. The team visited the institute to spend time with the inmates and celebrate Diwali with them. |

| After a warm welcome, prayers and huge smiles, the inmates were divided as per their abilities. Then began the fun and games: Musical chairs followed by Potato race and walk which turned out to be thoroughly exciting with the volunteers and teachers cheering and supporting them. Musical chairs was also conducted for the staff and volunteers while children cheered their teachers. |

| V C Kumar and Suresh Samudrala gave away prizes to 18 winners of the competitions while all the children received a goodie bag filled with toys, whistles, biscuits and chocolates. |

| Lunch was organized by Mahindra Satyam volunteers who personally served it to all the children. 30 needy children were given new clothes by the team for Diwali. To complete the festive mood of Diwali, sparklers were lit. |

| Everyone left with warm feelings and wanting more and took leave with a promise to return. |
|
| As a team experience, everyone felt happy at the end of the day. Though hesitant at first to participate in CSR activities, it was gratifying to see that a small contribution and participation resulted in such pleasure and delightful smiles among the kids. The eagerness with which the children engrossed themselves while playing games, showing their paintings and lighting fireworks was an unforgettable experience. All the team members agreed to participate in similar CSR events whenever possible. |
