Empowering through Skill Building

On 7th September 2011, Mahindra Satyam volunteers Saurabh Raut and Sheetal Bhaisare (M7 Team) attended the valedictory function at Deep Griha Society, Pune, where 18 students successfully completed the three-months course of MS Office, English Communication and Soft Skills. Other participants included Mr. Augustine Mendoncca (DGS- Representative) , Mr. Vijay Wavre (Tech Mahindra Foundation) and Anjana Goswami (Mahindra Satyam Foundation)

Faces beaming with pride and happiness, 18 students received the certificates. It was a culmination of their hard work and efforts that lasted for three months. The students were very positive about the IT School and said the three-month course helped them build their confidence and self esteem. They thanked the trainers and the volunteers for grooming them. The experiences shared by them motivated the current batch of students. The M7 team played a major role in helping the students in their overall personality development.

Volunteer Saurabh Raut  felt happy to be part of the IT School and was glad to see the students speaking in English with utmost confidence. Inspiring speeches by Mr. Augustine Mendoncca and Mr. Vijay Wavre (TMF) followed. The program ended with a group photo and snacks.

Here’s what one of the students had to say about this program:

“I was not so sure about the course in the beginning. However, as I started attending classes regularly, I found the trainers very concerned about us and taught us  in a simple manner.  The content of Computer course and English course is very useful. Most importantly, the sessions on resume building and interview skills by the volunteers made me confident to apply for a job and I am happy that I was selected. I thank the trainers and the volunteers for showing me the path to success.” -  Diksha Karnik
